Meet the Author

Hi, I’m Krystal!

I’m the author and creator of Muscle Magic, a children’s book series inspired by my family’s real-life journey.

After my sons, Nolan and Kyrie, were diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, I wanted to create stories that showed children like them as more than a diagnosis. I wanted them to see themselves as funny, brave, strong, adventurous, and full of possibility.

That idea became Muscle Magic.

Through each story, I hope to help children understand that everyone faces different challenges, everyone has their own strengths, and every child has a superpower.

What started with our family’s story has grown into a mission centered on kindness, inclusion, confidence, awareness, and helping children celebrate what makes them unique.
